LANGUAGE CONTENT: Sequence connectors
AIMS: By the end of the lesson, students should be able to practice their writing skills by using the information from the website and present the information in a paragraph form using sequence connectors and complete sentences.
TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS:
• One computer per group of 2-3 students
• Internet connection
• Web Browser
PREPARATION: 1. Locate the French recipes website.2. Browse through the website to make sure it is suitable for the students and match the topic.3. Prepare worksheet based on the information in the website.

PROCEDURE:
Set induction: (5 minutes)
1. Teacher introduces the topic of the day.
2. Teacher recaps the previous lesson on sequence connectors.
Task 1: (10 minutes):
1. Teacher asks the students to form a group of 2 to 3 per computer.
2. Teacher instructs students to open the following website. (http://www.ffcook.com/pages/allrecipes.htm)
3. Teacher explains to the students on how to search for French cuisines on the website.
4. Teacher allocates 5 minutes for students to search their own favorite French recipes.
5. Teacher guides the each group in completing the activity.
Task 2: (20 minutes):
1. Teacher distributes worksheets to students and asks them to complete the worksheets by writing the names and ingredients of the French recipes chosen.
2. Teacher guides the students in their work.
3. Teacher asks some students to share recipes chosen to the whole class.
4. Teacher asks the students to write a paragraph on steps to make the cuisine by using sequence connectors using other worksheets given.
Conclusion: (5 minutes)
1. Teacher recaps the lesson on ‘My Cuisine’.
2. Teacher inculcates moral values.
FOLLOW-UP ACTIVITY:
1. Each student has to execute TASK 2 at home and E-mail it to teacher before the next class.




Good choice of topic and website. Would be more interesting if they were able to cook it.

ReplyDeletei think it can attract students' attention as they can see different type of ingredients and the way the food being presented. it is totally different from our local scene. i like that it involve cooking because i think that students would very much enjoy the visual learning techniques. cayalah azu...

ReplyDeletei really like the idea of cooking... students especially girls would definitely like it. not to mention boys will love it too. giving students french cuisine is a good attempt as students get to know new recipes and they may try it at home. it would be lovely if teacher can bring some of the cuisine to be tasted in class.
